Mag. Nadiya Khaverko
Mezzo-soprano, singing teacher at the AMP in Vienna, teaching position at the KUG Graz

Born in the Ukraine. Diploma in choral conducting at the State Academy of Music in Lviv (Ukraine). Here she also gained her first professional experience as a conductor and as a soloist and ensemble singer. After graduation (master’s degree in choral conducting) in Lviv, she turned to solo singing and set the professional course for further training. Already during her studies in Ukraine, she worked as a music teacher and choir voice coach. Continued her musical education in Austria, studying concert singing and instrumental and vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (KUG). Completed her vocal training with Professor Elisabeth Batrice with excellent results.

– 1994-2001 ensemble singer and soloist in the chamber choir “Gloria” in Lviv.
– Participation in productions at the Theater im Palais in Graz, at the Junges Theater Leoben/Graz, at the Theater an der Wien and at the Opera House Graz.
– Participation in numerous festivals for early music in Stary Sacz (Poland), at the festival “KlangBogen” in Vienna, Lehár Operetta Festival in Bad Ischl and at the chamber music festival “Allegro Vivo” in Waldviertel/NÖ. Participation in projects of the association “Opera et cetera” in Krems. International solo performances in the context of song recitals, masses and oratorios.

Teaching activity as voice trainer and singing pedagogue.
– Choirmaster in orthodox liturgy; director of the ensemble “Chorodia Byzantina Geras” (Lower Austria).
– 2014-2020 Lecturer at the Prayner Conservatory Vienna (solo singing, lied and oratorio, vocal ensemble, chamber choir).
– Since 2011 lecturer at the University of Arts Graz with the lecture “Russian for the Stage”.
– Participation in seminars and workshops on the general topic of “Speaking, Singing and Language in Singing”, holding master classes.
– Juror at music competitions in the vocal solo category in Austria, Malta and Russia.
